Early life
Mahesh Chandra Roy was born on 19th march of 1352 (1 February 1919) in the Rajbangshi Kshatriya dynasty of Dalit class. His village Pottimari (then Rangpur) is presently located in Kishoreganj upazila of Nilphamari district. Baba Baburam Roy and mother Bimala Rani Mahesh Roy's mother died five years after birth. Parents adored the father's parents, Mahesh, the father admitted in the village school. Three years later, after completing primary education, Kishoreganj was admitted to English School. At the age of 11-12, he ended his academic education.

After completing his education, joined the rural tourism group. In a very short time, it became popular. At this time, the father of the son came under the supervision of Surul Kumar Ghosh, the elder daughter of Nilphamari, for the future development of his son. This city was eventually introduced to Prof. Tarun Prasen Mukhopadhyay, author of the India Avatar newspaper, and with writer Balai Dev Sharma. Later on, he started collecting coins from the ancient writers. Many of these songs were kept in voice.

Personal life
After the death of his Lord Surath Kumar Ghosh in the town of Nilphamari, he left Mahesh Chandra. In the meanwhile, he got the opportunity of teaching in the Jaychandi Putihharhi Primary School away from the city. From 1344 to 1346 he taught at this school. At that time, she was married to Binapani Roy, daughter of Gaganchandra Roy of Dighaldangi village of Sanglesi union and went permanently to Shubhurlai. But she did not last long enough to have her permanent bridal life The wife of the wife died in 1349, leaving two children. In 1350, she married Kamini Bala Roy. After a few years, the second wife was left with four children. After establishing the motherless children for a long time, Sarla took a widow named Bala as his wife at the end of her life.

During Pakistan's time, he passed the voice test at Rajshahi Radio Center, as a musician, composer and music artist, as an irregular artist every month. After spending a few years there, he used to perform music at Rangpur center. [2]

Literary pursuit
Nirantara has also tried to preserve the songs that Mahesh Chandra Roy has created in his long life. He has sung songs and songs composed by musicians like Mustafa Zaman Abbasi, Sharifa Rani, Nadira Begum, Rathindranath Roy and many others. Bangla Academy and Shilpakala Academy have published songs compilation and biography and transcription service is stored in Bangladesh Radio Archive. It is said that the number of songs written by Mahesh Chandra Roy is one thousand. But researchers have collected only 200 songs. [1]

Book
On 2 September 1993, a song book named 'Dhire Boleo Kar' (First Khand), written by Mahesh Chandra Roy, was released by Nilphamari Shilpakala Academy. In 2003, a book titled 'Mahesh Chandra Rai Gaan' was released from the Bangla Academy. In 2010, Shilpakala Academy published a book named 'Bhaiyya Shilpi Mahesh Chandra Roy's Biography and Song'. Apart from this, the syllabus of the National University, Dhaka University and Rajshahi University is included in the syllabus, the lyrics and biography of the artist. [3]

Bodybuilding
The artist died at Rangpur Medical College Hospital on January 29, 1993, 75 years of age.
